''Does the birth control pill cause abortions?" is a 115 page book in which Randy Acorn, using research results from medical literature, convincingly shows that the answer is 'yes'. He has, with care and compassion, given us the truth. The question for us as Christians is how we will respond now that we know.

VICTORY! Government Has No Plans to Change Northern Ireland Abortion Law!

The United Kingdom government says it has no plans to change Northern Ireland's restrictive abortion law and would expect the province's assembly to take over legislation in this area. Mr Paul Goggins MP, a UK minister responsible for Northern Ireland, declared the policy in written answers to MPs' questions.

The LifeLeague says: This is a double victory for our campaign. Firstly, NI's abortion laws are not going to be liberalised. Secondly, the NI Assembly (with its' pro-life majority) is going to take over legislation in this area. We want to thank all of our supporters who joined in our successful campaign.

We appeal to you, if you live in Northern Ireland, to click here and urge your MLA to now pile on the pressure against the miniscule remnants of Ulster's pro-abortionist minions. Urge the assembly to pass motions and, if possible, implement restrictive measures against Brooke and the Family Planning Association.

Gay Pride Coordinator Charged With Paedo Sex Crimes

A Google cache of an Internet page for Milwaukee's homosexual "PrideFest" reveals that its outreach coordinator, now facing felony sex charges for allegedly trying to meet a 14-year-old boy, was the contact person for the event's children's attractions.

The LifeLeague says: The suggested links between homosexuality and paedophilia should not be swept under the carpet in the name of political correctness. Welfare of children, regardless of what minority group are offended by it, ought to be of paramount concern to us all.

Sensational Seanad Victory for Pro-Life Commentator

In a sensational upset, first-time candidate Rónán Mullen, a well-known pro-life media commentator, took the third seat in the National University of Ireland Seanad (Senate) election. Senator Mullen, a candidate who campaigned on family and community issues, garnered transfers from across the field.

The LifeLeague says: We welcome this most encouraging development. Clearly, due to a mighty resurgence in pro-life campaigning over the last ten years (that LifeLeague has been honoured to play its' part in), the pro-life position has become more mainstream and popularly acceptable. Rónán Mullen's achievement is no small reflection of this.

Pro-Abortion Violence

Police filed disorderly conduct charges against an Alabama abortion clinic operator who was accused of threatening peaceful pro-life demonstrators outside the facility. When officers told her to knock it off, she kept screaming and told them, "I will do what I want. I will not obey you."

The LifeLeague says: We are not surprised by this disgusting behaviour, given the fact that it comes from someone involved in promoting baby murder like this.

Lancet Says More Research is Needed into Long Term Effects of IVF

Children born by IVF should be monitored into adulthood, according to British and German researchers. The study, published in The Lancet, warned that not enough is known about the long term consequences of in-vitro fertilisation and intracytoplasmic sperm injection.

The LifeLeague says: Leaving the moral abominations of IVF to one side, it was completely irresponsible for the government and scientific establishment to go ahead with IVF without the full facts and anywhere near enough research. Now, thanks to their unprofessionalism, we are faced with the unavoidable prospect of children being turned into raw material for 'catch up research'.

IVF involves a great waste of human life. Some statistics have even suggested that 24 out of every 25 IVF embryos (i.e. babies) will never see the light of day as a born child.

Click here to c ontact your MP today and urge them to campaign against this immoral, dangerous, costly and speculative trade in human lives.

Asian Reports: New Indian PM Speaks Out Against Sex Selective Abortion, China Arrests Those Opposing Forced Abortions

The new Indian president has criticised the practice of sex selective abortion which results in the killing of many unborn girls. Pratibha Patil, who was elected last week, emphasised, as she was being sworn in, that women's rights were important to her. She said: "We must banish malnutrition, social evils, infant mortality and female foeticide."

Chinese courts in Bobai county in the southwestern portion of the Asian nation sentenced two men to prison who were involved in a protest against forced abortions that involved thousands of people. The local population engaged in riots after a campaign by local officials that resulted in dozens of forced abortions.

The LifeLeague says: Clearly our ongoing campaign highlighting and working against the practice of sex selective abortion throughout central and southern Asia is continuing to have effect. Pray that the crackdowns in India against this practice will be successful and that millions of little girls' lives will be saved.

The nightmare of which you read (see above) in China should spur us all on to action. These are the ultimate plans that the unrestricted abortion advocates have for our country. It is up to us to stop them. In the same way that, in some countries, 'euthanasia rights' have lead to 'forced euthanasia', so too - 'abortion rights', if victorious, will lead to 'forced abortion'. As well as being pro-death, far from defending civil liberties and freedom, the pro-abortionists are actively engaged in their destruction.
