''Does the birth control pill cause abortions?" is a 115 page book in which Randy Acorn, using research results from medical literature, convincingly shows that the answer is 'yes'. He has, with care and compassion, given us the truth. The question for us as Christians is how we will respond now that we know.

Abortion Tensions Build Between Amnesty and Catholics

Amnesty International is set to defy the Vatican and risk the wrath of Catholics around the world over its decision to back abortion for rape victims. Leaders of the international human rights group meeting in Mexico are expected to reaffirm the policy adopted by its executive board in April after two years of soul-searching within the organisation.

The LifeLeague says: We urge you to contact Amnesty and warn them that, by doing so, their organisation could be signing its own death warrant.  They will be contravening the original purpose of their group and spurning the sensitivities of millions of church-goers who have faithfully supported Amnesty down through the years.  Please click here to do so.

Teenage Abortions Sweeping Across Wales

Despite a government scheme to cut unplanned pregnancies by giving morning-after pills to youngsters, a record 1,004 girls under 18 had terminations in Wales last year.

The LifeLeague says: Once again, the government’s abortion and sex education policy have been shown to be in tatters.  The exact same thing happened in Lothians and Edinburgh.  Contact your MP, urge them to campaign for a change in abortion and sex education policy in order to engender chastity, responsibility and life.  Please click here to do so.

Barking and Dagenham - abortion hell

One in every 29 teenage girls in the borough have had a pregnancy terminated.
Statistics released by the Department of Health showed that 34 in every 1,000 of 15 to 17-year-olds in Barking and Dagenham had an abortion in 2006 - the third highest rate in the country.

The LifeLeague says: The efficiency of government abortion and sex education policy is falling like dominoes.  Will government have the decency to eat some humble pie and admit that they were wrong?  The longer they burry their heads in the sand – the more young lives will be destroyed.

Pill can delay a baby far longer than you want

Women who use the contraceptive long-term are often shocked at the effect it has on their fertility once they stop taking it.

The LifeLeague says: In line with LifeLeague policy, it is becoming increasingly evident that contraception is not the easy ‘quick-fix’ solution it is popularly seen to be.
