''Does the birth control pill cause abortions?" is a 115 page book in which Randy Acorn, using research results from medical literature, convincingly shows that the answer is 'yes'. He has, with care and compassion, given us the truth. The question for us as Christians is how we will respond now that we know.

Amnesty Ends Abortion Neutrality

Amnesty International has confirmed its controversial decision to back abortion in some circumstances, replacing its previous policy of neutrality.

The human rights group will campaign for woman to have access to abortion in cases including rape and incest.

The initial decision was taken in April, but Amnesty delegates meeting in Mexico gave it overwhelming support.

The LifeLeague says: Amnesty has ignored the views of its own membership and the very aims for which it was constituted.  It has treated the views of church-goes (its best supporters) with contempt.  Pro-lifers will now be looking very seriously at initiating an immediate and complete boycott of Amnesty.

The Baby Born Weighing 12 Ounces

As she shortens her daughter's school uniform on the sewing machine, tears of pride fill Lorraine Hart's eyes. Her miracle tot Aaliyah was Britain's smallest newborn baby in 2003 - weighing just 12oz and no bigger than a mobile phone. Now aged four, the little battler has made giant strides and starts her first day at primary school next month. It is a milestone that Aaliyah's doctors never thought would happen - believing she would be stillborn, or unable to survive beyond a couple of hours of life.

The LifeLeague says: Little Aaliyah is a marvelous success story and an encouragement to us all in the pro-life cause.  This shows the futility of dismissing life on the grounds of subjective, pro-abortionist 'viability criteria'.

Pro-choice groups to rally against 'misleading' information

Pro-choice campaigners have staged a rally in Dublin in order to highlight the need for the regulation of counselling agencies in Ireland. Choice Ireland has accused some crisis pregnancy agencies of intimidating women by providing misleading information about the health risks associated with abortion.

The LifeLeague says: Clearly the truth hurts and the sight of pro-abortionists campaigning against 'misleading' information is rich to say the least.  We commend all of those crises pregnancy centres who are committed to giving women proper support, instead of abortions.  You may want to drop Choice Ireland a line and ask them what choice they propose to give to the unborn child.  Please click here to do so.

The Health Cost of Abortion

Every eight minutes a woman dies somewhere in a developing country due to complications from an unsafe abortion. Abortion carrried out by individuals lacking the necessary skills and/or in unhygienic conditions is a major global public health problem. Each year, there are an estimated 19 million unsafe abortions worldwide, most in low-income countries, and around 68,000 women die as a result, making this a major cause of maternal mortality.

The LifeLeague says: Whilst this study is informative as far as it goes, it omits one important fact - namely that there is no such thing as a safe abortion.  Each abortion leads to the death of at least one person, the unborn child - and the permanent lifetime injury of another, the child's mother.
