''Does the birth control pill cause abortions?" is a 115 page book in which Randy Acorn, using research results from medical literature, convincingly shows that the answer is 'yes'. He has, with care and compassion, given us the truth. The question for us as Christians is how we will respond now that we know.

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown Appoints Key Abortion Advocates

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown is following in the footsteps of his pro-abortion predecessor, Tony Blair, and appointing key abortion advocates to top governmental posts. That will make it more difficult for pro-life groups to try to reduce the nation's high number of abortions.

The LifeLeague says: We suggest that you contact Mr Brown, tell him how his pro-abortionism will influence your voting habits. If you normally vote Labour, mention it. Click here to do so.

Roman Catholic Bishop of East Anglia Resigns from Amnesty

The Roman Catholic Bishop of East Anglia has resigned from Amnesty International over the group’s decision to support abortion for women raped in war situations.

The Right Reverend Michael Evans, said he was ending his 31-year membership because he couldn’t support an organisation that backed “violence” against unborn children, whatever the circumstances.

The LifeLeague says: We congratulate the bishop on his strong and courageous stand. We call upon all other Roman Catholic and Church of England bishops to do likewise. You may wish to contact the bishop and commend him on the step he has taken, please click here to do so.

Scottish Figures Show that 'Over the Counter' MAP Sales Result in Abortion Increase

Studies from Europe, China and the United States show that the morning after pill does not reduce abortions. In fact, figures from Scotland show that a decision to sell the morning after pill over the counter resulted in an increase in the number of abortions.

In the past five years since the morning-after pill was made available over-the-counter, hundreds of thousands of women have used it. But the Scotland government reported 13,081 abortions in 2006, up from 12,603 the previous year -- an increase of nearly 3.8 percent.

The LifeLeague says: Our position in opposition to morning-after pills continues to be vindicated in one study after another. Clearly we are continuing to gain ground in the moral and medical debate.

Misery of Abortion for Our Teenagers

It’s surely time something was done about the abortion figures. Young girls between the ages of 15 and 17 getting rid of 1,004 babies in 2006, plus 1,341 having a second abortion in the same year, what a traumatic way to spend their young lives. No one seems to want to take responsibility for this situation, neither the parents of the babies or the grand-parents.

The LifeLeague says: This sad state affairs will only get worse - as long as society and individuals refuse to model chastity, responsibility, integrity, morality and life.
