Channel 4's recent documentary concerning the abortion debate was, in our opinion, neither pro-life or pro-abortion. It was simply a well made, fair and balanced documentary which showed the grim and bloody reality of abortion.
The LifeLeague says: No doubt the pro-abortion lobby will be horrified that a producer has had the integrity and guts to make a balanced, graphic documentary on this subject. Therefore it is very important that decent people show our appreciation and thanks to the man behind it.

New pro-abortion group 'WAR Scotland' fears that Salmond will tighten laws |
|
| |
A new Scottish "pro-choice" movement will be launched next week amid accusations that First Minister Alex Salmond is "playing politics with women's bodies" over abortion. The Scotsman has revealed that MSPs will be targeted in a protest outside the Scottish Parliament next week by members of the new Women's Abortion Rights (WAR) Scotland campaign.
The LifeLeague says: First Minister Salmond is beginning to learn the lesson that Scotland's previous Labour administration failed to grasp - namely that the pro-life and family values vote cannot be ignored. Click here to urge First Minister Salmond to be brave and sensible enough to move Scotland's law in a more pro-life direction. Mark your message 'FAO First Minister Salmond'.

Marie Stopes Doctor Survey Produces a Pro-Life Result |
|
| |
Almost two-thirds of doctors think the upper time limit for abortions in the UK should be reduced, research revealed. A survey of 1,000 GPs by Marie Stopes International found 65 per cent thought the current 24-week abortion limit should be cut.
Liz Davies, director of UK operations at Marie Stopes, said the body was surprised that so many doctors supported a reduction in the 24-week limit for abortion.
The LifeLeague says: It isn't often that Marie Stopes give us something to welcome, however it is brilliant to see a survey, commissioned by a pro-abortion organisation, producing a pro-life result. It will be very difficult indeed for the pro-abortion lobby to dismiss these findings as biased.

LifeLeague Secures the Release of Pro-Life Volunteer Veronica Connolly |
|
| |
Veronica Connolly, LifeLeague Volunteer and wheel chair bound Catholic grandmother, was sentenced to 14 days in jail by Solihull Magistrates Court court on Friday at 12.15 because she refused to pay a court fine imposed for showing graphic abortion photos. She did so as a matter of religious conscience. This is nothing short of a cruel attack upon the whole pro-life community, not to mention the principles of freedom of speech and freedom of expression.
The LifeLeague says: LifeLeague activists were proud to be associated with her. We are honoured to have pro-life heroes like Veronica in our ranks and supported her every inch of the way and will continue to do so. She was prepared to go to jail, however LifeLeague wasn't prepared to see a disabled grandmother go through any more stress or suffering - therefore we paid her fine.
