LIFELEAGUE ACTIVISTS MARK THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE 1967 ABORTION ACT

On Saturday, LifeLeague activists participated in demonstrations held throughout the UK in order to mark the 40th Anversary of the 1967 Abortion Act. We ensured that the voices of Britain and Ireland's 7.5 million murdered babies were heard loud and clear.

Anglican Primate Criticises Abortion Act

Society risks losing sight of the sanctity of life and the compassionate intentions of the 1967 Abortion Act, the Archbishop of Canterbury has warned.

The LifeLeague says: Whilst we welcome the fact that Archbishop Williams has issued this limited criticism of abortion, please click here, urge him to go further and defend all innocent life, from conception to natural death. Mark your email for his attention.

David Steel Admits that Abortions are too common

The architect of Britain's abortion law said Wednesday that the procedure was too common and some women were using it as a form of birth control. Lord David Steel, who introduced the 1967 Abortion Act that provided a legal defense to doctors performing the procedure, said that while he was proud of his achievement, too many women were terminating their pregnancies for the wrong reasons.

The LifeLeague says: This clearly indicates that the 'abortion establishment' are finding it increasingly difficult to ignore the vast amount of evidence amassing around the humanity, personhood and viability of the unborn child.

British Men have a responsibility for abortions, too

Women -- I mean, what are we like? Having abortions for totally trivial reasons, like not wanting to be pregnant! You'd think by now we'd have got it into our heads that abortions are only for women who really deserve them, which basically means anyone who has been raped (though not according to the Vatican) or can show that they're really, really upset.

The LifeLeague says: We recommend that you click here to contact the Independent Letters column, commend Joan Smyth on having the courage the attack the Britain's 'abortion on tap' culture. Urge her to reconsider her position that some women 'really deserve an abortion', remind her that no one 'really deserves' to kill her baby and abortions don't 'de-rape' a woman.

A woman's supreme right over her own body and destiny is in jeopardy

Polly Toynbee says "It is 40 years since the Abortion Act, and yet we are still fighting the same old battles against time-warped enemies."

The LifeLeague says: When we see sworn enemies of the unborn child like Polly Toynbee up in arms, then we know that we must be doing something right. Please click here to contact Polly, remind her that we will never go away and that we will continue our crusade until she and her fellow pro-abortion secularists are defeated.
