Female Labour MPs and Ministers Caught in Pro-Abortion Sleaze Allegations

A dozen female Labour Ministers and MPs face an official sleaze investigation following accusations that they failed to declare donations from pro-abortion campaigners. The women, who include Home Secretary Jacqui Smith and Welfare Minister Caroline Flint, all received cash from Emily's List (click here for more information), a feminist group in favour of a woman's right to choose. The sleaze complaint has been made by Conservative MP Nadine Dorries. She said: 'These Labour women have compromised their neutrality and effectively sold their votes.'

The LifeLeague says: We agree with Nadine Dorries MP and wouldn't expect anything different from a pack of women who support baby murder. Unborn babies can't vote, but pro-life people can - to them we say, choose carefully at election time.

New House of Commons Abortion Report - Nothing But a Biassed Grubby Little Pro-Abortionist Stitch Up!

Pro-life groups in England have joined two dissenting MPs in condemning the new report issued by the British Parliament's science and technology committee on the issue of abortion. The panel said there should be tightening of the 24-week limit and that only one doctor should sign off on abortions.

The LifeLeague says: This pro-abortion report and the committee's pro-abortion majority clearly shows in its recommendations. It is our opinion that this report willfully ignores a great deal of evidence and follows a predetermined ideological agenda owing little to careful consideration of the facts. FPA (click here ) and Marie Stopes (click here) are very happy. We ask you to click here and urge your MP to fight these recommendations.

New Studies Find Abortion Linked With Pre-Term Births and Cerebral Palsy. It is Also the "Best Predictor of Breast Cancer"

A new study published in this month's Journal of Reproductive Medicine finds abortion linked with premature births and cerebral palsy. Physicians in Canada and the U.S. teamed up for the study and examined data from more than four million births.

Dr. Byron Calhoun, Professor and Vice Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at West Virginia University, estimates that roughly a third of babies who are considered "very pre-term" result from a woman's decision to have a prior abortion. Patrick Carroll recently produced a paper showing abortion to be the "best predictor of breast cancer."

The LifeLeague says: We welcome these findings as yet more evidendial vindication of the pro-life position.
