Irresponsible Contraception Policy Involving Pharmacies!
It has been announced that contraception will be provided in pharmacies during pilot trials as part of a strategy to reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies. The health minister Lord Ara Darzi said the trials will run next year as the government believes pharmacies could be the "easiest route" for patients to obtain contraception, including the contraceptive pill.
The LifeLeague says: The solution to Britain's deteriorating sexual health is not to make contraceptives even more widely available. This merely encourages more irresponsible behaviour, promising the elusive 'sex without consequences'. Please click here to complain to Health Minister Lord Ara Darzi (mark your message for his attention), implore him to pull back from this dangerous and irresponsible course of action. Click here to contact your local MP and here to contact your local Lord, urge them to use their influence in parliament against this proposed idea.
