Pro Life Champion Charlton Heston Dies at 84

Academy Award winning actor, National Rifle Association visionary and pro-life champion Charlton Heston, best known to movie lovers for his unforgettable roles in such films as The Ten Commandments, Ben-Hur, The Greatest Story Ever Told, Planet of the Apes, Airport 75, Earthquake and many more, died in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 5 at the age of what is believed to be 84.

The LifeLeague says: We salute and thank God for the strong and courageous pro-life stand taken by Charlton Heston down through the decades - we have no doubt that, thanks to him, babies are alive today who otherwise would have died at the knives of the abortionist. May his consistant example inspire us all to continue the struggle.

Nearly 200,000 Abortions a Year "Not a Problem" for UK's Biggest Abortion Advocate

In 2006, there were 193,700 abortions in Britain, most committed for "social reasons" unrelated to the mother's health. This, however, is "not a problem" according to the current chairman of the British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS), Britain's busiest abortionist organisation.

The LifeLeague says: This cold blooded ruthlessness on the part of Ann Furedi (whose husband founded the British Revolutionary Communist Party) is only to be expected. We urge all of our supporters to call Laura Riley on 020 7612 0206, Press and Public Policy Manager of Furedi's organisation. Politely inform that 'one abortion (never 200,000) IS a problem - 200,000 is a tragedy'.

Abortion Once Again Linked to Mental Illness

Anti-abortion advocates are claiming a connection between mental illness in women and abortion. In a bid to deal with what they regard as a largely ignored problem, they have initiated abortion-recovery training.

The LifeLeague says: In the same way that the case is building concerning the link between abortion and breast cancer - so too the evidence is steadily amassing regarding the link between abortion and mental illness.
