Outrage as Elderly Severely Disabled Pro-Life Grandmother is Sentenced to
14 Days in Jail
Veronica
Connolly, LifeLeague Volunteer and wheel chair bound Catholic grandmother, was
sentenced to 14 days in jail today by Solihull Magistrates Court court at 12.15
because she refused to pay a court fine imposed for showing graphic abortion
photos. She did so as a matter of religious conscience.
This
is nothing short of a cruel attack upon the whole pro-life community, not to
mention the principles of freedom of speech and freedom of expression.
LifeLeague
activists who were present in court are proud to be associated with her. We are honoured to have pro-life heroes like
Veronica in our ranks. We have supported
her every inch of the way and will continue to do so. In addition, we will carry on the important
work of displaying graphic abortion photographs - the only true way of winning
hearts and minds in today's culture war.
LifeLeague
Coordinator Jim Dowson is presently trying to ensure that Veronica doesn’t
suffer any further distress. >>>>ENDS
