Some time ago, The LifeLeague issued our 'Pro-Choice Socialist Challenge' in order to give pro-death socialists and feminists the chance to explain and defend their position on the great moral and scientific issues surrounding the subject of abortion.
Generally speaking, the replies we received from pro-abortionists contained much hot air, rhetoric and abuse - but very little logic or reason.
This inability to comprehensively (or in most cases, partially) answer even the most basic questions about abortion shows the obvious weakness of their position and its complete lack of any credible supporting evidence.
What we learn from this is that the pro-abortionist position can only stand so long as it is protected from scrutiny.
This helps to explain the palpable sense of fear currently rushing through the pro-abortionist community - the fear that their position, crumbling as it is under the inexorable weight of evidence, experience and shifts in public opinion, is being found out........something which many believe suspect is increasingly exhibited in their irrational behaviour.
Those pro-choice socialists who did attempt a response raised 4 specific issues that we then dealt with in depth:
[1] Despite the fact that early feminists opposed it, is abortion pro-woman?
[2] Is abortion a woman's right to choose?
[3] Is the unborn child a human? Is the unborn child a person?
[4] Are condoms a good idea?
